
Requirements
Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license issued by the state of Kentucky
Must have and maintain current CPR certification
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide direct physical therapy services to pediatric patients (birth–21 years) under the supervision and direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
Implement individualized treatment plans designed to improve mobility, strength, coordination, and functional abilities.
Assist children with developmental delays, Autism, Down Syndrome, and other diagnoses in achieving therapy goals.
Use play-based, engaging, and age-appropriate activities to motivate and encourage progress.
Document patient progress, therapy notes, and updates accurately and in a timely manner.
Collaborate with Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, and Behavioral Support staff to provide a team-based, holistic approach to care.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to provide education, updates, and home exercise recommendations.
Maintain a positive, energetic, and professional demeanor consistent with The Kid SpOt Center’s core values.
Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and continuing education opportunities as required.
Adhere to all state licensing regulations, professional standards, and clinic policies.
Contribute to creating a supportive, inclusive, and nurturing clinic environment for children and families.
