Jessica Vasquez

Positive Behavior Support

Jessica is a Positive Behavior Support Therapist with a diverse background in education, science, and military service. Before joining The Kid Spot Center, she spent three years as a middle school science teacher and one year as a K–8 special education instructional assistant in a Functional Mental Disability (FMD)/Low Incidence (LI) classroom.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a concentration in Ecology and Evolutionary Sciences from the University of Texas at El Paso (2019), an Associate of Science in Biology from El Paso Community College (2016), and a Master of Arts in Teaching Middle School Sciences from Campbellsville University (2023).


A proud United States Army veteran, Jessica served four years of active duty as a wheeled vehicle mechanic (91B), including a six-month deployment to Iraq. She met and married her military sweetheart in 2012 gaining a stepdaughter Peyton and together they have two daughters—Jordyn and Rhylen. They have a lively household that includes four cats, three dogs, and two parakeets. The family now resides in Springfield.


In her free time, Jessica enjoys reading—her favorite authors are Stephen King and Jane Austen, though the Harry Potter series holds a special place in her heart.
