WHAT WE HAVE TO OFFER We offer eight different service areas within our clinic's, these include: speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, behavior support services, applied behavior analysis, community living support services, mental health counseling, and targeted care management. If you are a student and interested in observing at our clinic or obtaining an internship/clinical placement with us, please contact us! Each clinic availability for students can vary, so I would encourage you to reach out a few weeks in advance. What's Next? Back What is ABA Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based discipline built on the science of learning and behavior. Simply put, the general goals of ABA are to: Decrease behaviors that are harmful or can affect learning. Increase behaviors that are desired. We do this by incorporating a variety of evidence-based strategies throughout our treatment sessions Evidence-based Strategies Reinforcement Increases the likelihood that a behavior will happen again. ABA uses individualized motivators (rewards) to increase the likelihood that desired behavior will happen again. Discrete trail training Teaching new skills by breaking them down into smaller discrete components. Natural environment teaching Uses an individual's natural environment to teach, develop and maintain new skills. Functional communication training Teaching meaningful and functional communication in a natural way that help individuals get their needs met on a daily basis (this may not be verbal; this could be through pictures cards, basic signs, etc.). Shaping Teaching a big task by teaching it first in small steps.

Occupational Therapy (OT) Occupational therapy helps people across the lifespan participate in the things they want and need to do throughout the therapeutic use of everyday activities, which we identify as occupations. Our Occupational Therapist and Occupational Therapy Assistants work with the pediatric population targeting birth to 21 years of age. They use the main occupation of childhood (PLAY) to help kids learn new skills, interact in their environment, and progress towards their goals. Outcomes Occupational therapy targets activities of daily living and instrumental activities of Daily Living These skills include dressing, feeding, hygiene, grooming, cooking, shopping, and household chores. OT can also help kids build their strength and improve their coordination. Teach kids how to interact and play with their peers. Also, improve difficulty processing and regulating sensory information from their environment. Is your child meeting developmental milestones? Infant Milestones 0-18 Months Toddler Milestones 18 Months to 3 Years School Aged 3-7 Years Early Teen 7-12 Years Teens 12+ Years Poivoits while sitting Walks with a push toy Pushes or rolls a ball Drops small things, such as cheerios into a cup Likes to climb Removes socks Squeezes or pulls play dough apart Engages in pretend play Screws and unscrews lids Sorts objects that vary in size only or color only when shown how Interested in being with friends Participates in recreation activities Simple drawings Insert puzzles Enjoys playing with water, play dough, sand. Summer Camp june 2024 Hosted by The Kid Spot Center Campbellsville Clinic. Camp for kids of ALL abilities at the Campbellsville location! Your child does NOT have to be a patient at The Kid SpOt Center to participate! We are looking forward to opening this camp up to the community and providing enrichment activities for children to participate in during the summer. We are getting ready for the summer Olympics with an Olympic Themed Summer Camp for the month of June and we have so many fun things planned for your child! The camp days are Monday, Wednesday, Friday for 8-11 year olds and Tuesdays and Thursdays for 5-7 year olds from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm est for the month of June.
